Hello,

I need your opinion on the use in entomology of methylacetate instead of the usual ethylacetate.

I'm actually looking for information on collecting beetles in the USA. It seems that it is easier to find methyl acetate than ethyl acetate in this country and I would like to know if there are any disadvantages.

What I do know is that the two products are chemically very similar, have very similar properties and have almost identical industrial uses.
