Does someone have some expertise with the neotropical Trachyderini genus Metopocoilus Audinet-Serville?
I am not able to notice important differences between specimen labelled Metopocoilus corumbaensis Lane, 1956 and Metopocoilus quadrispinosus (Bouquet, 1860). Furthermore, the original descriptions mainly focuss on the coloration (which is not a good feature, colours being highly variable) and / or are very short.
Are these 2 distinct items? Or should they be synonymized? |
