As languages have false friends - words similar to other ones but with a completely different meaning - cerambycids also have false friends.
Here it is a species nearly identical to Chromalizus afer, but it is not it.
Do you know it?

Usually, larger than a Chromalizus afer, and the dentate femora exclude Chromalizus but indicate Philematium.
A sutural stripe is present but its contrast with the elytra is less striking (not very clear on my photo due to the flashlight).

The depicted female comes from western Togo also, Kouma Konda.
