Posted - 30/12/2019 : 11:15:31 Apparently, your perception of the appearance of malayana is not the same as the one in the new article ! In any case, testaceicornis has got half the black elytra.

I do not understand on which you have based your idea Philippe, considering that malayana shows rounded elytral apex (truncate in testaceicornis), black scape and antennal apex (yellow in testaceicornis), black elytral half (elytral apex in testaceicornis). |

Posted - 01/06/2013 : 15:29:10 With Podaný's (1968) paper I reach Schmidtiana testaceicornis (Pic, 1926)... but I do not know if all these species are actually chromatic forms of only one. According to Thomson, it might be a simple variety of S. strumosa (Pascoe, 1866). |
