No, it is not.
I think that D. pseudonotabilis is the only valid species (besides D. notabilis and D. flavicollis) of this group.
Concerning D. notabilis, Thomson (1878) transferred C. notabilis to Grammophorus, but Gahan (1906) synonymised this genus with Demonax .
Nobody has revalidated Grammophorus for more than one century. |

Francesco, please don't be angry  . Here is the holotype of Demonax pseudonotabilis Gressitt & Rondon, 1970.
Is Demonax pseudonotabilis Gressitt & Rondon, 1970 a junior synonym of Grammographus notabilis notabilis (Pascoe,1862)?
The TITAN database shows Gressitt (1951: 280) transferred Chlorophorus notabilis = Grammographus notabilis to Demonax.
But TITAN database is wrong since Gressitt did not do that. I have told the truth to Tavakilian to correct the TITAN database. |
