The characters with C. nilgiriense is matching except , this specimen is not having any white spots (as mentioned in Gahan 1906), can it be some variation

No, definitely not C. zeylanicum. On the other hand, C. nilgiriense is really similar.

Oh yes Xavier Sir. Ceresium nilgiriense Gahan, 1906 also I have to checked, in ventral four spots on the abdomen is not there.
I am also very much confused. But to me maximum characters are matching with zeylanicum Sir. (Following Gahan 1906)

Ceresium genus is big, and very difficult: 153 species with quite similar habitus. I do not think it is possible to get a correct ID on picture.
