Posted - 24/01/2014 : 21:47:22 Ok ; Here the original PIC's description : Oberea (i) taliana n. sp. Modice elongatus, parum nitidus, supra testaceus, infra, antennis pedibusque pro parte nigris.

Posted - 24/01/2014 : 21:40:31 If it comes from China, it is N. taliana as well. I seem to understand that N. taliana is a species external to Himalaya, being present in Tibet, Yunnan, Vietnam and Laos, while N. ventralis is internal, being present in Assam and Myanmar... |

Posted - 24/01/2014 : 19:46:49 I think it is rather Nupserha taliana (Pic, 1916) in both cases. N. ventralis is a species from Myanmar and Assam, which also shows red profemurs.
However, very nice pictures; thanks! |

Posted - 22/01/2014 : 19:29:30 I have a similar specimen to yours in collection from north Laos that I named Nupserha ventralis Gahan, 1894 because of this picture. But, is it really the same species ? You have to check also the original description by Gahan.
