A tub with some polystyrene, absorbent material like kitchen roll and hot boiling water will relax specimens overnight.

Well, you were right : probably a morpha of Glenea exculta Newman, 1842.
Gérard has got pictures from mnhn of similar sp.

True ! I'm

Is somebody able to translate Hüdepohl text ?
Glenea exculta NEWMAN, 1842 claripennis var. nov. (Abb. 11)

Yes, I also suggested G. exculta just because of this Aurivillius' description in his key for Glenea, but I don't know if this suggestion is correct. I did not see a picture of the nominal subspecies. Please note that the picture of Huedepohl, 1996 shows another variation G. exculta claripennis.

I have posted here the picture of G. exculta from Hudepohl(1996) which have a complete sutural stripe, and I don't know what thinking : As Aurivillius said (1926), this species should have " sutural stripe wanting or only distinct behind the middle"...

Check also G. exculta, which should have elytra lateral lines replaced by a few spots.

Why not a morpha of Glenea benguetana Aurivillius, 1926 like theses one ?
