Posted - 20/01/2015 : 07:29:25 Dear Sangamesh, thank you for this picture. It is very interesting to notice the circular cut around the branch which reminds to me similar cuts of American Onciderini.
I do not know if Erythrina has been already recorded as host. Stebbing (1914: 377-8), which you can find in the digital library here, mentioned only Tabernaemontana alba, but you should check Beeson & Bathia. |

Posted - 19/01/2015 : 20:33:08 With this circular spot on the back, it seems ok for Sthenias grisator (Fabricius, 1787). I found a drawing here cf FLETCHER T. Bainbrigge, 1914. Some south Indian insects and other animals of importance considered especially from an economic point of view. Superintendent Government Press, Madras: i-xxii + 1-565, 440 figs, 50 pls.
But may be you already have this document ? |
