Here is a species labelled as being from southern Ontario, Canada, caught in 1971.
Evidently not belonging to the Canadian fauna. Either accidentally introduced or mislabeled.
Any idea of what it is? |

Thanks for the tip, Francesco. This species is close to some appearing in the Australian Lamiinae book (Slipinski & Escalona, 2013), but it is likely something else. Rhytiphora seems right, as it has been synonymized with so many other genera. |

Certainly, it belongs to Pteropliini.
It seems to belong to some Australian genus like Rhytiphora, maybe Saperdopsis...
Considering the climate of Ontario, surely intercepted species.
