This spm from Mt. Wilhelm /PNG(15mm) looks like an Apomecynini, but I have never seen a longhorn beetle with such huge palps

Monstropalpus helleri (Franz, 1953). See last paper of Vives & Heffern & Lin, 2019 in Les Cahiers Magellanes n°34.

Well, do you have the paper FRANZ Elli, 1953.Eine neue Lamiide aus Neu-Guinea, Giganteopalpus helleri n. gen. n. sp. (Ins. Col.). Senckenbergiana, Frankfurt am Main 34 (1/3): 37-39, 2 figs. ?

It would be interesting to understand what environmental or behavioural constraints this species had to face in order to develop such a morphological character !!

today I got an intuition :
it is Monstropalpus helleri (Franz, 1953) (belongs to Xylorhizini recently, but this needs verification)
