The photo is very dark but I think this is a male of Prosopocera (Dalterus) fossulata Breuning, 1936 known from Namibia and Malawi so....

Ciao Francesco, ho confrontato questo esemplare con il mio... non vedo differenze sostanziali se non che questo sembra un po' pelato, in più delle specie di Dalterus dell'Africa sub-sahariana che ho in collezione (marmorata, albomarmorata, grossepunctata, dejeani, strandiella, degeeri, raffrayi)nessuna presenta la tessitura "bucherellata" delle elitre su tutta la superficie come questo esemplare.Certo è che è un gruppo davvero difficile

A mon avis l'espèce que P. Téocchi avait déterminé fossulata du Malawi n'est pas fossulata.
La photo ici ne me semble pas être fossulata logiquement la ponctuation devrait être vraiment très marquée mais bon.....
Celui sur la photo me semble appartenir à l'espèce dejeani Fahroeus ? A vérifier...

Le mâle de P. dejeani est pourvu d'une longue corne bifide, les élytres sont peu densément ponctués ; en plus dejeani a quatre taches blanches, deux avec un noyau sombre.

Females of the same species were inserted here.
They were identified as Prosopocera (Dalterus) degeeri.

Oui P degeeri et non P dejeani !!! Quel couillon je fais ! Je pensais degeeri et j'ai écris dejeani ......Mais à voir de près ?
