Even if it reminds of our Chlorophorus sartor (O.F. Müller, 1766), it belongs to Demonax, due to its spined antennae. Possibly, it is a female of Demonax persimilis (Chevrolat, 1863), but there are a lot of similar species, for example D. bicinctus (Hope, 1831) or D. albicintus (Hope, 1831) from Nepal, of which you can see some pictures here (29-31, p. 198). Without knowing the types, it is very difficult.... |
