Another Callichromatini from Cameroon which does not fit with the known keys. It makes think of a Cloniophorus or Eulitopus; but especially the form of the pronotum is not the one which characterizes these genera. Cameroon, 20 mm |

Francesco, you know this one! We figured it in our paper on Hintz types (CM NS n°4 page 6-7): Cloniophorus (Leptoclonius) elongatus (Hintz). A good species! Pierre, give me the complete data to include this specimen in a further revision of Cloniophorus... Friendly Pierre |

Very interesting. I was not able to recognize this species using the descriptions of Schmidt; thank you, Pierre, for your observations. I had received this beetle, one single specimen, in a lot coming from Cameroon, Province du Centre, Mengueme-Bané, local collector leg., 11/2011. |
