As those from Kalimantan, they are probably materials labelled as "Indonesia" and then "better" localised by subsequent dealers.  |

Have contacted the seller and got the standard reply...I am at the mercy of my suppliers.
That is true so how can you blame the seller. They should blacklist their supplier. |

I meant to post this picture with my previous post.... ( Late at night and sleepy ).
I don't know which subspecies Bill has. ??? I have not seen A. dalenii from Sumatra or Java.

Anhammus dalenii borneensis pictured here...
the nominate subspecies is from Java
one subspecies each from Sumatra, Borneo and the Malay Peninsula
I don't know which one is closest to your beetle.
In my opinion, the chance that this specimen is from Buru is extremely small.
I have thrown specimens into the garbage can at times. Or I just put a label on the specimen like this "???" |

I think you are right, it is not a matter of "advantage" : when sellers use to buy a lot of specimens from all over the world, they may have some problems to put all of them in good blisters...and they do not really care about that. |

Appears to be A. d. dalenii Guerin 1844 but that is found on Kalimantan.
Not sure what to do with the specimen now. |
