Posted - 21/10/2019 : 07:44:23 Well, ...specimen from Yunnan could be Spinosodus rufomaculatus Breuning, 1973 (Pteropliini)
...specimen from Java could be Spinosodus spinicollis Breuning & de Jong, 1941 or Bulbolmotega sumatrensis Breuning, 1966 (Acanthocinini)
...Are there 3 different species ? Which one are synonyms ? |

Hi Xaurus, Thanks for the photo of the type, I collected one from S-Yunnan, Chian. Almost be the same species, rather a strange distribution. |

The basal elytral crests that show as bare in the type (rubbed off I would guess), are quite evident upon a look through the microscope. Thanks for the great help.
