Once again from Oregon.
I would say a pair of Phymatodes, but which one?
8 and 9 mm.

Exactly! They should be a pair of Phymatodes (Poecilium) decussatus decussatus (LeConte, 1857) var. obliquus.
You can confound it only with Phymatodes (Poecilium) nitidus var. exilis, which has a long pubescence on the anterior half of the body.
